I mean, I'm not fancy. My current car is a 1999 Toyota 4Runner. I don't make a lot of money. I'm a single mom with two teens. Is this car beyond my reach, or is it feasible to own one, just like any other car?

I think that depends on a lot of things. The obvious choice would be the model 3 which starts at 35k and is possible to be below 30k with tax incentives if you get the car soon enough. That being said, it's still not a cheap car and depends on your financial situation. Are you currently making payments on your Toyota or is that all paid off? I would say be prepared to be spending 350-450 a month for a model 3 depending on which one you get. Some will be over 500 a month. Also how much do you drive and do you think you'll be saving money without gas fill ups.
